RTW tickets are perfect for people who have a set schedule. However, if you are looking at a little more flexibility, buying point to point tickets makes more sense. While RTW alliances allow you to change your flight dates and times, you may sometimes find that the date and time that you are looking for is not available. Also, these tickets are only valid for an year. So, if you decided to stay at a place for a little longer duration and therefore changed a few dates in your trip, all the tickets past one year from the date of booking will become invalid. This will lead to loads of money wastage.
